Happy St. Patrick's Day!

"Erin Go Bragh!" as they say in that fine Emerald Isle!
We're cooking up a fine, fine batch of Irish Stew for dinner tonight (made with Guinness, of course) with a helping of soda bread and lots of wonderful music.
Tomorrow night (as it's easier to throw parties on non-school nights) we're throwing a small St.Patricks party with lots of corned beef and cabbage, potatoes, and green ice cream for dessert. I'll take a picture or two and post them!!!

Busy weekend

Boy, we had a full weekend! Cub Scout hike along the Clear Creek Trail Saturday morning-about 1 1/2 miles along the creek, and picked up a lot of litter on the way, too. there were 20 boys, and almost as many adults. Went really well, and I look forward to the next one. That afternoon, the kids were invited to a birthday party at the Olympic Gymnasstics Center, and they had an absolute BALL!! They were led through a bunch of the apparatus (apparati? apparatuses?) for 45 minutes of bouncing, running, rolling, etc. Then 15 minutes of free play-the trampoline things were the most popular! Then, they dragged their tired, sweaty selves upstairs for a birthday party of great pizza (Garlic Jim's-awesome!) and cake. All the kids were still flushed from all the activity a half an hour later. I think we're going to get our little girl signed up with some lessons.
Sunday was anothe rfull day. After church, we cleaned house, then off to Port Orchard. Us guys enjoyed a Model Railroad show at South Kitsap Mall for a few hours, while the girls went shopping and afternoon tea. Then, off to the County Park for a little stretch. A full weekend, and a lot of fun.
